Scope

This part of GB/16901 specifies the requirements for graphic symbols described in the computer electronic file format in the reference symbol library and their exchange requirements between computer-aided tools. This section applies to reference symbol libraries that can be used as the basis for technical documentation, computer-aided tools, and exchange of files and graphic symbol libraries. This section does not contain the specification of the physical file format required for exchange.
