GB/T 5094.1-2002 Industrial systems, installations and equipment and industrial products--Structuring principles and reference designations Part 1: Basic rules (English Version)
This part of GB/T 5094 specifies the general principles for describing system-related information and the structure of the system itself. These principles provide rules and guidelines for developing univocal reference designations for items (objects) in any system. Reference codes are used to identify items in order to relate information about items in different types of documents to the products that make up the system. For the needs of manufacturing, installation and maintenance, the reference code or part of it can also be marked above or near the actual part of the corresponding item. The principles stated here are general and apply to all technical fields. They can be used in systems based on different industrial technologies, or in systems combining several industrial technologies.
