Scope

Scope and purpose In addition to the following, Chapter 1 of GB 4793.1-2007 is applicable: 1.1 Scope Replacement: This section applies to automatic and semi-automatic equipment for laboratory analysis and other purposes. Automatic and semi-automatic laboratory equipment consists of instruments or systems for measuring and changing one or more properties or parameters of a sample, all or part of which is performed without manual intervention. Equipment forming part of the system applies to this section. Examples of equipment included within the scope of this section: -- Analytical equipment; -- Autosamplers (pipettes, dispensers); -- Sample replication and amplification equipment. 1.2 Purpose 1.2.1 Replace the content included within the scope of this part: Replace the first sentence with the following: The purpose of this part is to ensure that the construction methods designed and used provide a high level of permissible risk for the operator and the surrounding environment Protection, specific clauses use risk management (see 7.2.101 and Appendix AA). Addition: Add two new items: h) biological hazards; i) hazardous chemical substances. 1.2.2 Addition of content not included in the scope of this standard: Add a new column item and the following note: g) Handling or manipulation of materials outside the equipment.
