Scope

This specification applies to the design and construction of steel vertical cylindrical above-ground single-containment tanks, double-containment tanks and full-containment tanks for storage of hydrocarbons or ammonia with a boiling point of 0°C~-165°C and a design pressure not greater than 50kPa. This specification does not apply to membrane tanks and main storage tanks made of prestressed concrete only.
