Scope

This specification specifies the design requirements for thermal insulation materials, thermal insulation calculations, and thermal insulation structures of petrochemical equipment and pipelines. This specification applies to the design of petrochemical equipment and pipeline insulation projects. This specification does not apply to the design of internal insulation linings of equipment and pipelines and the design of pipeline insulation projects with special requirements.
