Scope: This standard specifies the general requirements and process requirements for the safe operation of mechanical cleaning of external floating roof crude oil storage tanks. This standard applies to mechanical cleaning operations of ground atmospheric pressure external floating roof crude oil storage tanks. The mechanical cleaning of internal floating roof oil tanks, horizontal oil tanks and vault oil tanks can be used as a reference.
