This part of GB/T 18294 specifies the terms and definitions, test principles, test instruments, solvents and materials, and test methods of ultraviolet spectroscopy in fire technical appraisal methods. This part is applicable to the identification of common flammable liquids such as gasoline, kerosene, diesel oil, paint thinner and their combustion residues at the fire scene, and also applies to the identification of other fire evidence with ultraviolet characteristic absorption.
