Scope
This standard specifies a method for determining the inherent storage stability of dis illate fuel oils. This standard applies to dis illate fuel oils with a flash point higher than 38°C (measured by GB/T 261) and a 90% recovery temperature lower than 355°C (measured by GB/T 6536). This standard is not suitable for quality control analysis but is used to study the actual storage stability of the sample by shortening the test time (compared to the storage time at room temperature). Appendix A gives additional information on storage stability and information on the correlation between the results of this standard and the actual formation of precipitates during storage. This standard does not make recommendations on all safety is ues involved in use. It is therefore the user's responsibility to establis appropriate safety and health measures and determine the applicability of relevant regulatory limitations before using this standard.
