Scope
This standard specifies the overview of methods for inspecting aluminum and aluminum alloy round ingots by water immersion longitudinal wave pulse reflection method, inspection personnel, environment, equipment and materials, sample preparation, inspection method requirements, inspection records and inspection reports, etc., as well as other contents specified in this standard. The method is applicable to the ultrasonic inspection of deformed aluminum and aluminum alloy round ingots with a diameter of 90 mm ~ 420 mm. The ultrasonic inspection of deformed aluminum and aluminum alloy hollow ingots and flat ingots can also refer to this standard.
