- This standard specifies the general testing requirements, electrical characteristics measurement, thermal characteristics measurement, rating inspection and thermal cycle load test methods for P gate reverse blocking three-pole thyristors (hereinafter referred to as thyristors). This standard applies to ordinary thyristors and fast thyristors. Bidirectional thyristors, reverse conduction thyristors and gate turn-off thyristors can also be used with reference. The test methods specified in this standard are also applicable to N-gate thyristors if the polarity of the meter, power supply and electrode terminals is changed and quadrant characteristics are taken into account.
