- This standard specifies the electrical characteristics, thermal characteristics, ratings and thermal cycle load test methods of P gate reverse blocking three-pole thyristors. This standard is applicable to the test methods of reverse blocking ordinary thyristors and fast thyristors. The test methods of this standard are also applicable to N-gate thyristors, bidirectional thyristors, reverse-conducting thyristors and turn-off thyristors as long as the polarity of the meter, power supply, and electrode terminals is changed and the quadrant characteristics are considered.
