Scope: This specification stipulates the minimum requirements for the design, manufacturing, inspection and testing of reciprocating compressors, their drivers and auxiliary equipment used in the petrochemical industry. This specification applies to the engineering design and equipment procurement of reciprocating compressors for petrochemical industry. This specification does not apply to power air compressors with exhaust pressures less than 0.9 MPa (G), compressors driven by internal combustion engines or reciprocating steam engines, and small high-speed compressors used in oil fields.
