Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements for transparent quartz glass tubes for liquid level gauges. This standard is applicable to transparent quartz glass tubes for single-color and multi-color water level meters in low, medium and high-pressure boilers with a working pressure not greater than 6.4MPa and a working temperature of -40°C to 450°C. It is also applicable to various equipment with the same working conditions in the petrochemical industry. Transparent quartz glass tubes are used for single-color and multi-color liquid level gauges in oil and non-alkaline substance storage tanks.
