Scope: This part specifies the transmission and convergence (TC) layer protocols, resource allocation and quality of service, transmission and convergence layer framing, encapsulation methods, and physical (PHY) adaptation sublayer of 10Gbit/s passive optical networks (hereinafter referred to as XG-PON) , PLOAM message channel, ONU activation, timing relationship between OLT and ONU, performance management, security requirements and power consumption management, etc. The XG-PON specified in this section is mainly aimed at the XG-PON1 system. This section applies to XG-PON equipment in the public telecommunications network environment, and private telecommunications networks can also be used as a reference.
