Scope
This part specifies the transmission and convergence (TC) layer protocols, resource allocation and quality of service, transmission and convergence layer framing, encapsulation methods, and physical (PHY) adaptation sublayer of 10Gbit/s passive optical networks (hereinafter referred to as XG-PON) , PLOAM message channel, ONU activation, timing relationship between OLT and ONU, performance management, security requirements and power consumption management, etc. The XG-PON specified in this section is mainly aimed at the XG-PON1 system. This section applies to XG-PON equipment in the public telecommunications network environment, and private telecommunications networks can also be used as a reference.
