Scope

This section applies to the interface between low-voltage switchgear and control equipment and controllers (such as programmable logic controllers, personal computers, etc.). This section does not apply to the higher-level industrial communication network called fieldbus studied by IEC/SC65C. This part of GB/T 18858 specifies the definition rules, components and basic performance requirements for industrial CDI. The standard characteristics of various types of CDI can be collectively included in this part as basic requirements. When determining all the requirements and tests of various CDIs, the following two main documents are used: a) This part, referred to as "Part 1" in the relevant standards including various types of CDIs; b) GB/T 18858 series A dedicated CDI part of the standard. If the general provisions are not applicable, the CDI specific standards may not be adopted, or if the basic requirements are not suitable for special occasions, the CDI specific standards may supplement the general provisions, but the content of the specific standards should not violate the basic requirements unless there are sufficient technical reasons .
