- This part of SN/T 3194 specifies methods for measuring the power consumption of televisions, video recording equipment, set-top boxes (STBs), audio equipment and multi-function devices used by consumers. Televisions include, but are not limited to, devices using CRT, LCD, PDP, LED or projection technology. This part also specifies different operating modes related to power consumption. This section only applies to equipment that can be connected to mains power. The measurement conditions specified in this section represent the normal use conditions of the equipment and other special conditions, such as those specified by safety standards, may be different.
