This standard specifies the method for determining the CO emission limit of operating ships, the calculation formula for the CO emission index, and the verification method for the CO emission index. This standard applies to dry bulk carriers, container ships and oil tankers of 400 gross tonnage and above that are intended to be put into operation, domestic navigation, using diesel engines as the main propulsion power, including newly built ships, second-hand ships purchased from the international market, and bareboats. Foreign ships leased under leasing conditions, as well as ships converted to operations for other purposes in the domestic market. Container and dry bulk cargo ships shall be implemented with reference to dry bulk cargo ships.
