- This standard specifies the on-site use and maintenance of steel wire ropes used in the oil and gas industry, as well as the design features and evaluation methods of corresponding parts. This standard is applicable to guide the selection, design, evaluation, replacement and scrapping of steel wire ropes with typical structures used in the oil and gas industry.
