Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, general requirements, requirements and test methods, inspection rules and signs of linear optical beam smoke detectors. This standard is applicable to linear light beam smoke detectors installed and used in general industrial and civil buildings that use the light reduction principle to detect smoke. Linear beam smoke detector with thermal disturbance function. The linear beam smoke detectors with special requirements installed and used in other environments shall also implement this standard, except that the special requirements are stipulated separately by relevant standards.
