Scope
This part of GB 5226 applies to electrical and electronic equipment and mechanical systems, including a group of machinery that work together in a coordinated manner, but does not cover higher-level aspects of the system (eg: communication between systems). This section can be applied to rated voltages higher than 1000Va.c. or 1500Vd.c. However, for equipment or components of equipment operating at a rated frequency not exceeding 36kV and a rated frequency not exceeding 200Hz, special requirements must be met for higher voltages or frequencies. In this standard the term "high-voltage equipment" also covers low-voltage equipment which is an integral part of equipment operating at high pressure. Unless otherwise specified, the technical conditions in this section are mainly applicable to the parts working under high pressure. These technical conditions refer to GB 5226.1-2002, and also apply to high-voltage equipment. The electrical equipment covered by this standard begins at the point of connection from the power supply to the mechanical electrical equipment (see 5.1). This part is an application standard, which does not limit or restrict technological progress. It does not include all technical requirements (such as protection, interlocks or controls) that are required by other standards or regulations to protect persons from non-electrical harm. Various types of machinery with special requirements may have special requirements for safety. This section applies specifically to, but is not limited to machinery as defined in 3.26. (The electrical equipment of the machinery listed in Appendix A falls within the scope of this Part.) The electrical equipment of the following machinery may be subject to special technical requirements: - Machinery used in the open air (for example: outside the outdoors or other protective buildings); - - machinery for the use, handling and production of explosive substances (e.g. paint or sawdust); - machinery for use in flammable and explosive atmospheres; - special hazards when using or processing a substance machinery; - mining machinery. Power circuits that directly use electrical energy as a means of processing do not belong to the scope of this standard.
