Scope: This standard specifies two accelerated corrosion test methods, which are used to evaluate the corrosion resistance of products containing metal materials in environments significantly affected by chloride ions and corrosive gases. The chloride ions come from sodium chloride in marine environments or winter roads. The de-icing salt on the top, the corrosive gas comes from the pollution of the air by industry or traffic. This standard specifies the instruments and procedures for accelerated corrosion tests. These methods are especially suitable for evaluating the corrosion resistance of products containing metallic materials that are sensitive to corrosion, such as electronic components serving in traffic or industrial environments.
