This part of GB 5959 specifies special requirements for personal device safety in electroslag remelting furnaces (hereinafter referred to as electroslag furnaces). This section applies to electric heating devices for remelting or refining metals by directly heating conductive slag. This section should be used in conjunction with GB 5959.1-2005 "Safety of Electric Heating Devices Part 1: General Requirements". The test methods in this section are in accordance with GB/T 10066.1-2004 "Test Methods for Electric Heating Devices Part 1: General Parts" and GB/T 10066.8-2006 "Test Methods for Electric Heating Devices Part 8: Electroslag Weight" The relevant provisions in the "Melting Pot".
