Scope

This standard specifies the method for evaluating the sealing quality of anodic oxide film by the anti-staining adsorption ability after acid treatment. This standard applies to the production control inspection of anodic oxide coatings with anti-pollution ability used in atmospheric exposure or corrosive environments. This section does not apply to the anodic oxidation film formed by the following aluminum alloys: a) Anodic oxidation film with copper content > 2% and silicon content > 4%; b) Potassium dichromate sealed oxide film; c) Oil coating , waxed and painted oxide film; d) dark oxide film; e) oxide film with a thickness less than 3 μm. This method is not effective enough when nickel, cobalt or other organic additives are present in the sealing solution.
