Scope

This section specifies the physical, electrical and logical characteristics of the UICC-ME(Cu) interface. Specific contents include the physical characteristics of the UICC, the electrical interface between the UICC and the terminal, the establishment of initial communication and the transmission protocol, the basic model of the UICC logical structure, communication commands and programs, and application-independent files and protocols. This section applies to TD-SCDMA mobile communication terminals and UICC cards used in TD-SCDMA mobile communication terminals. It also applies to WCDMA mobile communication terminals and UICC cards used in WCDMA mobile communication terminals. The UICC card used in CDMA mobile communication terminals can be used as a reference.
