- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, characteristics, product-related information, normal use, installation and transportation conditions, structural and performance requirements, testing, etc. of dry multi-plate electromagnetic clutches. This standard applies to dry multi-plate electromagnetic clutches (hereinafter referred to as clutches). In mechanical transmission systems, this clutch can combine or separate the driven part from the driving part while the driving part is running. This standard also applies to dry multi-disc electromagnetic brakes.
