This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, characteristics, product-related information, normal use, installation and transportation conditions, structural and performance requirements, and testing of wet multi-plate electromagnetic clutches. This standard applies to wet multi-disc electromagnetic clutches (hereinafter referred to as clutches) and also applies to wet multi-disc electromagnetic brakes.
