- Scope
- This part of GB/T 2878 specifies the size and performance requirements of the external hexagonal and internal hexagonal plugs applicable to the oil ports specified in GB/T 2878.1. Plugs conforming to this section are suitable for a maximum working pressure of 63MPa (630bar). The allowable working pressure should be determined according to the end size, material, structure, working conditions and application of the plug. Hexagon plugs conforming only to the dimensions specified in this standard are not guaranteed to achieve the rated performance specified in this standard. In order to ensure that the hexagon plug complies with its rated performance, the manufacturer shall conduct testing in accordance with the technical specifications specified in this section.
