Scope

This standard specifies the tolerances for bolts, screws, studs and nuts of product grades A, B and C, and for self-tapping screws of product grade A. Note: The product grade is determined by the tolerance size, A grade is the most accurate, and C grade is the least accurate. Except thread tolerances, all dimensional tolerances are selected from GB/T l800.2 and GB/T l800.4. Ordinary thread tolerances are taken from GB/T 2516. The tolerance of self-tapping thread is given by GB/T 5280. The stipulations and representation methods of shape and position tolerances shall comply with GB/T ll82, GB/T 4249 and GB/T 16671. Unless otherwise specified, the tolerances specified in this standard apply to the dimensions of fasteners before plating, see also GB/T 5267.1. When the tolerances stipulated in this standard and the product standard are different, the product standard shall prevail. These tolerances are recommended for non-standard fasteners as well. The dimensions and tolerances given in this standard are in mm.
