Scope: This standard specifies the test device, test procedure and result calculation of the oxygen index method, one of the test methods for the combustion performance of fiber reinforced plastics. This standard applies to the determination of the oxygen index method of glass fiber reinforced plastics and carbon fiber reinforced plastics. This standard is only applicable to assess the combustion performance of materials under the conditions specified in this standard, but cannot assess the fire hazard of materials under actual use conditions, and is not suitable for evaluating materials with high shrinkage after heating.
