Scope
This standard specifies the general principles, design requirements, installation brackets, welding, anti-corrosion treatment, inspection methods, inspection rules, weld repair and marking, transportation and storage requirements for main air cylinders for locomotives. This standard applies to new steel main air cylinders for locomotives.
