This part specifies the minimum requirements for the design, inspection, testing, manufacturing and quality assurance of iodine adsorbers (Type II). This section applies to iodine adsorbers related to nuclear safety in air purification systems of nuclear facilities. Iodine adsorbers in the air purification system of nuclear facilities that are not related to nuclear safety can also be implemented by reference.
