This standard specifies the basic techniques of industrial computed radiography and gamma radiography and general guidelines for storing phosphor imaging plates (IP), the purpose of which is to guarantee ideal and repeatable results in industrial metal material inspection applications. The basic requirements for gamma ray sources, X-ray devices and related equipment used should meet the relevant regulations and be applicable to relevant product standards. Acceptance criteria for defects are not specified in this standard.
