This part of GB/T 18691 specifies the design requirements, performance requirements, conformity assessment, marking and packaging of control valves. This section applies to irrigation systems where the water temperature does not exceed 60°C and the water may contain certain types and concentrations of fertilizers or chemicals commonly used in agriculture. This section applies to hydraulically driven irrigation control valves with nominal sizes not less than DN15. The control valve is designed to work in any position from fully open to fully closed. Valves can be directly operated (e.g. opening and closing via a spring or diaphragm) or pilot operated (e.g. via a diaphragm via an adjustable pilot valve).
