This standard specifies the performance requirements and test methods for passive and active receiving antennas (hereinafter referred to as antennas) in the Global Positioning System (GPS) L1 (1575.42MHz) frequency band. The active antenna includes the antenna radiator and the feed system itself plus related components integrated with it, such as filters, preamplifiers, etc. This standard applies to the design, production, use and testing of passive and active receiving antennas in the GPS L1 frequency band and is the basis for formulating product specifications.
