- This standard applies to DC bridges used for measuring resistance, and also to auxiliary equipment attached to bridges. This standard does not apply to bridge comparators, self-balancing bridges and those bridges that obtain partial indications by means of a zero meter scale, nor does it apply to external auxiliary equipment used with bridges (Note: bridge comparators is a device used to compare two resistors, e.g. an adjustable ratio group with two arms).
