Scope: This standard specifies the color microfilm exposure technique and the line originals, continuous tone originals and test charts prepared therefor, including the necessary test originals (see Chapter 5) and the evaluation of test exposures for color microfilm. This standard applies to color exposure techniques and to the evaluation of line originals and continuous-tone originals available for microfilming (see Appendix A). This standard is intended to reproduce the colors of the original in reproductions. As regards processing controls, the film manufacturer's recommendations should be followed. This International Standard does not consider the effect of the projection characteristics of the microfilm reader on the subjective impression formed by the projected color microfilm.
