Scope: This standard specifies the construction and test requirements for current-limiting enclosures type "fr" for non-electrical equipment intended for use in explosive atmospheres and only in rare cases where the environment outside the enclosure becomes an explosive atmosphere for a short period of time. This part is a supplement to the requirements of GB 25286.1. The provisions of GB 25286.1 are all applicable to current-limiting enclosure type equipment. Equipment conforming to the requirements of this part can meet the requirements of Class II Class Gc and Class III Class Dc equipment. The anti-ignition type specified in this section is not suitable for use with non-Gc, Dc-level equipment protection types.
