Scope: This standard specifies the performance and test procedures of oil and gas drilling fluid materials. These materials include barite powder, hematite powder, drilling grade bentonite, untreated bentonite, OCMA grade bentonite, attapulgite, sepiolite, technical grade low viscosity carboxymethyl cellulose, technical grade high viscosity carboxymethyl fiber cellulose, starch, low-viscosity polyanionic cellulose, high-viscosity polyanionic cellulose and drilling-grade biopolymers.
