Scope

This standard specifies the type, composition, marking, materials, technical requirements, inspection rules, test methods, marking and packaging of integral hanging strings and hanging string clamps. This standard applies to the integral hanging strings that suspend contact wires on load-bearing cables in electrified railway catenary systems and the hanging string clamps in contact suspensions.
