Professional Standard - Post and Telecommunication
Latest
YD/T 2059-2009
Scope
This standard specifies the expected surges (overvoltage and overcurrent) caused by lightning at transition points of communication access networks and signal lines inside and outside buildings such as switching offices, user buildings and remote nodes. The purpose of this standard is to study the impact of lightning current as a source of damage, its overvoltage and overcurrent on communication and signal networks using metallic conductors, and this impact depends on the location of the line subject to lightning strikes. This standard evaluates the effectiveness of protective measures designed to withstand expected surge currents at the circuit installation site.
