Scope
This part of GB/T 21645 specifies the architecture and functions of the Automatically Switched Optical Network (ASON) data communication network, mainly including data communication network (DCN) applications, ASON DCN general requirements, management communication network (MCN) requirements, signaling Communication network (SCN) requirements, DCN functional and structural requirements, and DCN network performance. This part applies to the Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) transport network defined by ITU-T G. 803 and the Optical Transport Network (OTN) defined by ITU-T G. 872. DCN applications in other communication networks can also be used as a reference.
