Scope

This part of GB 17465 is applicable to two-pole appliance couplers for AC only, with or without earthing contacts, with a rated voltage not exceeding 250V and a rated current not exceeding 16A, for household and similar purposes. The coupler is used to connect the power supply cord to electrical appliances or other electrical equipment with a power frequency of 50Hz or 60Hz.
