Scope

This standard specifies the design, material, construction, test, operation, maintenance and scrap requirements of the pipeline transportation system in the petroleum and natural gas industry and provides suggestions. This standard applies to land and offshore pipeline systems. They connect production wells, oil production plants, processing plants, refineries and storage facilities, including any length of pipeline constructed within the scope of the above facilities for connecting purposes. The range of piping systems to which this standard applies is shown in Figure 1. This standard applies to hard metal pipes. Not suitable for flexible pipes or pipes of other materials, such as glass fiber reinforced plastics, etc. This standard applies to all new pipeline systems, and can also be applied to renovation projects of existing pipelines. But this does not mean that it can be applied retroactively to existing piping systems. This standard describes the functional requirements of the pipeline system and provides the basis for its safety design, construction, test, operation, maintenance and scrapping.
