Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificates and safety precautions for coking xylenol. This standard applies to crude phenol produced from coal tar, phenol-containing sewage, and coked xylenol produced through rectification.
