- Scope
- This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements for through-flow cyclone air filters and paper air filters and air filter assemblies for diesel locomotives. This standard applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of filter devices for the air intake system of diesel locomotive diesel engines. The air filtering devices of internal combustion motor vehicles, diesel engine generator sets and electrical ventilation systems may be implemented with reference to this standard.
