- This standard specifies the optional assembly of sliding bearings (in accordance with GB/T 7308). The diameter clearance of the bearing is determined by the diameter of the housing hole, the diameter of the journal and the thickness of the two bearing shells. The tolerance "stack" of these parts will generally reach 50 μm~60 μm. According to the development and practice of modern engines, in order to improve engine performance, it is necessary to reduce the gap range formed by tolerance "stacking". This standard presents various options and recommendations for selective assembly to obtain this small clearance range.
