Scope

This standard classifies various types of rotors according to their characteristics and balance requirements, lists the structural types of various typical flexible rotors, explains the balance method, specifies the evaluation method of the unbalanced final state, and gives the balance and balance on the balance equipment. Criteria for assessing vibration limits and residual unbalance limits during on-site balancing. This standard can also be used as a basis for more in-depth research. For example, where more precise determination of the required balance quality is required, it can be expected to operate satisfactorily if attention is paid to specified manufacturing methods and unbalance limits. This standard is not an acceptance specification for rotors, but it shows how to avoid large defects and unnecessarily restrictive requirements. The methods and guidelines given in this standard are obtained from experience with general industrial machines and are applicable to general industrial machines. For special equipment or special environment, they may not be directly applicable, and some occasions may need to deviate from the provisions of this standard. The issue of structural resonance and its dynamic modification is outside the scope of this standard.
