GB/T 17421.3-2009
Scope
This part of GB/T 17421 specifies three thermal deformation tests, namely: - Environmental temperature change error (ETVE) test; - Thermal deformation test caused by spindle rotation; - Thermal deformation test caused by linear axis movement. The thermal deformation test caused by linear axis movement (see Chapter 7) is only applicable to CNC machine tools and is used to quantify the effect of thermal expansion and contraction of the axis on positioning accuracy and repeatability. For practical reasons, the test method described in Chapter 7 is suitable for machine tools with linear axis strokes up to 2000mm. A representative length of 2 000 mm is used for inspection. It should be noted that no specific tolerance values are given for the tests described in this section.
