Scope: This standard specifies the marks, materials, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging and storage of sight glasses for pressure vessels. This standard is applicable to round borosilicate glass (hereinafter referred to as sight glass) made by tempering process for pressure vessels with working temperature not exceeding 280 ℃ and working pressure lower than 6.4 MPa. This standard does not apply to the sight glass used in the extremely hazardous and highly hazardous pressure vessels whose medium toxicity is specified in HG 20660.
