- Scope
- This standard applies to three-pole AC load switches and isolating load switches with a rated voltage of 3.6 kV---40.5 kV, a frequency of 50 Hz, installed indoors or outdoors, and with rated closing and breaking currents. This standard also applies to the operating mechanism of these load switches and their auxiliary equipment. Isolation load switch should also meet the relevant provisions of GB l985. The general principles and provisions in this standard also apply to single-pole switch-disconnectors in single-phase systems. The requirements for the insulation test and the making and breaking tests shall meet the requirements of the specified application occasions. Note 1: Unless otherwise specified, the term "disconnector" refers to all types of disconnectors and disconnectors within the scope of this standard. Note 2: Earthing switches are not included in the scope of this standard. The requirements for the earthing switch as an integral part of the load switch are included in GB 1985. Note 3: This standard does not apply to switch-disconnectors operated by opening and closing fuses and used as accessories of high-voltage fuses.
